Lasting
concrete protection from
destructive sewer environments
MarMac® Concrete Coating PSC 2306 is a long-lasting protective coating that shields concrete
structures from damage. Unlike older, harmful coal tar epoxy coatings, this modern polysiloxane formula offers a safer, more effective way of protecting sewers, storm drains, and other concrete.
This untinted (tinting available), thick liquid coating creates a barrier that stops water, chemicals, and acids from seeping into concrete surfaces. Without this protection, infrastructure often rapidly corrodes and deteriorates, leading to costly repairs or replacements.
Concrete Coating PSC 2306 works on any porous concrete surface that can benefit from chemical, water, and acid resistance. With proper surface preparation MarMac Concrete Coating provides superior, long-term protection utilizing the latest polymeric technology.
Increased service life
Chemical, Water, & UV-Resistant
Highly hydrophobic & Weather-resistant
Superior adhesion extends Durability
Environmentally-friendly & Easy to apply
Safer alternative to toxic coal tar epoxy
Multiple coats can be used if desired. PSC 2306 cross-links at ambient temperatures and continues the process of forming a complex array of extremely strong linkages to both itself and the surface. The product will not delaminate when applied properly and will last the life of the structure.
PSC 2306 is a solution of a high-molecular, curable polysiloxane in aliphatic hydrocarbons.
Adhesion testing has been conducted in accordance with the testing procedures of ASTM D7234 on cementitious substrates, including concrete block, concrete pours, etc. The adhesion of PSC 2306 to cementitious substrates consistently exceeds the break strength of the cementitious substratesthemselves. Stir PSC 2306 thoroughly to make sure that the tint and consistency are uniform. Do not dilute. DO NOT introduce air bubbles into the mix.
The coating should be applied when ambient temperatures are between 15.5°C (60°F) – 50° (122°F), and the surface is dry and free of dirt, dust, and debris. Apply PSC 2306 with a brush, masonry nap roller, and/or an airless sprayer using an adequate nozzle size. During spraying, aerosols arise and might cause a potential risk for humans. Therefore, spray only in closed installations which provide for good air extraction and good room ventilation. Do not inhale aerosols!
Clean sprayer immediately after use with mineral spirits or a similar solvent. After solvent, rinse the sprayer thoroughly with water. One gallon covers approximately 250-350 sq ft per coat.
Store in original, unopened container. PSC 2306 may change after prolonged standing (e.g. form cream layers, sediment, separate, etc). Please stir thoroughly before use.
If stored below 0°C, the product may solidify and/ or change its consistency. After heating to 20-25°C and thorough mixing, the product can be used again without issue. The content of the container must not be exposed to moisture or be left open for a long time. Irreparable damage is possible. Close the container tightly after use!
