Geotextile Manhole Skirts are a cost effective and permanent measure of protection against expensive and frustrating damage. Geotextile Manhole Skirts are manufactured using specially engineered, high strength fabric designed to hold soil and fines in place. Geotextile Manhole Skirts meet most DOT materials standards.

Extend and position the top of the Geotextile Manhole Skirt (A) and the sleeve of the skirt so the sleeve (D) will cover and overlap the circumference of the pipe. Position the long strap (B) and secure to the top of the skirt on the manhole/structure. Straighten and extend the skirt sleeve (D), overlap and secure the hook fastener (C) around the pipe. Apply tension to the shorter strap (and lock) around the pipe barrel approximately 2 inches from the end of the fully extended skirt sleeve (D). When back-filling, maintain skirt positioning. The sides and bottom of the skirt should be fully extended and in direct contact with the pipe and structure wall.
